BRISBANE /  Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has expressed concern over the recent situation in Nepal and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the Nepalese community in Queensland.

In a letter to the Nepalese Association of Queensland, the Premier acknowledged the contribution of around 12,000 Queenslanders of Nepali heritage and more than 10,000 Nepal-born residents.

He said the Queensland Government remains committed to supporting multicultural communities by promoting inclusion, social cohesion, and community safety through ongoing programs and initiatives.

The message comes amid growing concern among the Nepalese diaspora over recent developments in Nepal.
